3 Rifles received the Freedom of the City of Sunderland 10th September 2010

This Honorary Freedom is recognition of the regiment's links to Sunderland

in the past, the present and in the future

Soldiers from 3 Rifles were supported by the Band and Bugles of The Rifles.

Also honoured today, the Survivors of the 125th Anti-tank Regiment

 

I am proud to say that the people of Sunderland showed great respect for the

Riffles today as they received the “Freedom of the City of Sunderland”

Also the respect shown to the Veterans of not only of the DLI but of all the forces on parade
